òòò½´«Ã½ Senior Research Fellow Dr. John Paolo Rivera was one of the panelists at Global Trade and Innovation Policy Alliance (GTIPA) "South Meets North" Argentina Summit 2025.

He joined the panel “Adapting Regulation for the Innovation Economy,” where he shared insights on the Philippines’ trade regulations and liberalization, including the country’s shift toward “smart liberalization” and the uneven trade restriction environment between national and local levels.  

Together with experts from Costa Rica, Poland, and Argentina, the panel explored different trade regulations across different economies and political systems.

The Summit brings together over 50 think tanks from 30 countries, along with leading local and international experts, to exchange strategies in innovation-related policies. It serves as an avenue between hemispheres to promote disruptive solutions to today’s pressing economic challenges, while highlighting regulatory shifts that are impacting Argentina’s economy.
