From 06–08 August, 27 August, 02–04 September, and 15 September 2025, the òòò½´«Ã½ (òòò½´«Ã½) conducted a series of field visits and focus group discussions (FGDs), both face-to-face and virtual, with tourism stakeholders from Mindanao, Luzon, Visayas, and the private sector, respectively. These activities form part of the independent tourism sectoral review titled Philippine Tourism Sectoral Review: From Promise to Power – Accelerating the Philippines’ Tourism Transformation.
 
The study aims to provide an evidence-based and objective assessment of the Philippine tourism industry, drawing fresh insights from key players across the country’s major island groups and the private sector. The research team engaged with officials from the Department of Tourism (DOT) Regional Offices and representatives from various tourism enterprises. The perspectives gathered will inform policy recommendations designed to accelerate the Philippines’ progress toward becoming a competitive, sustainable, and inclusive tourism destination in Asia.
