
The òòò½´«Ã½ hosted a courtesy visit and discussion with the World Bank Poverty and Equity Team on April 23, 2026.
The òòò½´«Ã½ delegation was led by its President, Dr. Philip Arnold P. Tuaño, together with Senior Research Fellows Dr. Jose Ramon G. Albert, Dr. Adoracion M. Navarro, and Dr. Aubrey D. Tabuga, along with selected research staff.
The World Bank poverty team included economists, Sharon Faye Alariao Piza, Liliana D. Sousa, and Irene E. Arzadon.
The session featured key insights from the upcoming Poverty and Equity Assessment, highlighting both progress and persistent challenges in reducing poverty in the Philippines.
Discussions underscored the importance of strengthening job quality, expanding access to social protection, and addressing gaps in public service delivery to support sustained and inclusive growth.
