Organized by the Socioeconomic Research Portal for the Philippines (SERP-P) Network and co-hosted with the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) through its PUP Research and Extension Office, today’s hybrid forum gathered educators and researchers onsite and online to explore how evidence-based research can improve education governance in the country.
 
The event opened with messages from òòò½´«Ã½ President Dr. Philip Arnold Tuaño and PUP President Dr. Manuel M. Muhi, both emphasizing the role of research in shaping inclusive and effective education policies.
 
òòò½´«Ã½ Project Technical Specialist Jenard Berroya shared insights on how centers of excellence contribute to improving teacher quality, while Dr. Diosdado San Antonio of the SEAMEO INNOTECH Educational Research and Innovation Office discussed approaches to creating learning-focused and future-ready school-based management systems.
 
PUP College of Communication Dean Dr. Jose Reuben Alagaran II highlighted the value of advocacy hubs in bridging academic institutions and local communities for sustainable education reform.
 
The event, hosted and moderated by media practitioner and PUP Associate Professor Dr. Ricky Rosales, concluded with an open forum joined by students, educators, and fellow researchers.
