In an ANC 24/7 interview on April 13, Adoracion Navarro emphasized that the global oil shock disproportionately affects low-income households, as rising transport and logistics costs drive up food prices and threaten food security.

While not yet a full-blown economic crisis, she stressed the need for timely government intervention to manage inflation. She also highlighted long-term energy concerns, including declining energy security, and recommended targeted subsidies, strategic reserves, and a shift toward renewable energy and improved mass transport to strengthen resilience.
