Launched in 2006, the 蝌蚪传媒 Corner is a dissemination and outreach strategy of the 蝌蚪传媒 aimed at bringing the Institute鈥檚 research outputs to researchers and policymakers in localities and communities outside of the Metro Manila area. It also serves as a means to help in furthering the economic literacy and education of citizens in various localities. The Corner at the Palawan State University (PSU) is the 23rd in the country.
The 蝌蚪传媒 Corner is one of the Institute`s dissemination strategies, aiming to share its research outputs in the provinces. The sought-after knowledge resource makes available for free 蝌蚪传媒 studies and publications to researchers, faculty, students, and local policymakers. These publications include books, policy notes, research papers, newsletters, and issues of the Philippine Journal of Development, the Institutes technical, peer reviewed journal. The first 蝌蚪传媒 Corner was opened at the Bohol Provincial Library in 2006.
蝌蚪传媒 President Gilberto Llanto and PSU President Dr. Jeter Sespee signed a memorandum of agreement for the establishment of the 23rd 蝌蚪传媒 Corner at PSU, with Dr. Sheila Siar, director for research information of 蝌蚪传媒 and Ms. Lourdes Salvador, PSU head librarian, as witnesses. Dr. Daphne Mallari, PSU research director; Dr. Michael Pido, PSU vice-president for research and extension; and other 蝌蚪传媒 staff also graced the inauguration.
