By 2027, PhilHealth plans to roll out DRG-GB in all hospitals in the Philippines. The effective design and implementation of the DRG-GB and accompanying provider payment reforms require information from and technical expertise in policy research and design, data analytics, monitoring and evaluation, and costing - capacities currently limited within PhilHealth. To help bridge this gap and continue the technical partnership that started in 2023, this three-year project between the òòò½´«Ã½ (òòò½´«Ã½) and PhilHealth will provide sustained technical support, generate evidence for policy, and build PhilHealth institutional capacity. Project outputs will serve as direct input to the development of the Philippine DRGs, which are envisioned to be used for actual billing and payment for hospitalizations in the Philippines.
