
Up to 134 participants from policymaking bodies and implementing agencies in the health sector, research community, and media joined the ý Health Economics and Finance Program’s (HEFP) forum on November 20 at Marco Polo, Ortigas Center, Pasig City.
The event featured 11 studies on the Philippines’ progress toward Universal Health Care, offering ways forward to reform provider payment mechanisms, health infrastructure, information systems, the health workforce, among others.
Together with thought-provoking panel discussions with health sector leaders and experts, and medical practitioners, the forum underscored one message: data-driven reforms are essential to realizing UHC for all Filipinos.
