
òòò½´«Ã½ Senior Research Fellow Dr. Sonny N. Domingo participated in the 2026 ASEAN Think Tanks Summit Workshop organized by the Singapore Institute of International Affairs on March 16 in Singapore.
Anchored on the theme “Climate Risks and Food Security,” the workshop brought together regional experts and stakeholders to examine the growing challenges at the intersection of climate change, agriculture, and food systems across ASEAN.
Dr. Domingo also served as a speaker at the Sustainability Talks, where he shared insights on climate adaptation and resilience in ASEAN agriculture, Drawing from the Philippine context, he highlighted the climate-disaster-economic nexus, key agricultural risk exposures, and pathways to strengthen resilience and support sustainable agricultural development in the region.
Discussions underscored the urgency of integrating climate resilience and food security into agricultural planning, particularly in the face of intensifying climate shocks, market volatility, and competing demands for land use.
