While a 2021 òòò½´«Ã½ study found that the Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) enhanced compliance with good-governance standards and strengthened performance management across government agencies, it also underscored the need for refinements to make the system more equitable, streamlined, and effective.
As of June 2024, Executive Order No. 61 temporarily suspended the implementation of the PBB and related systems pending a comprehensive review of government performance management and incentive mechanisms.
