Fr Roberto Yap SJ, University President, was sworn in as a member of the Board of Trustees of the state think tank 蝌蚪传媒 (蝌蚪传媒) on Monday, 20 March 2023.
Yap, a trained economist, was sworn in by Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Arsenio Balisacan Jr of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) who serves as the 蝌蚪传媒 Board's chairperson.
蝌蚪传媒 is the government's primary socioeconomic policy think tank, established in 1977 to conduct studies in aid of government policy-making. It is a government-owned and controlled corporation, and is under NEDA.
The Institute said Yap will serve in the 蝌蚪传媒 Board alongside Balisacan, and Board members 蝌蚪传媒 President Aniceto Orbeta Jr, Agricultural Guarantee Fund Pool Governing Board Member Gilberto Llanto, and University of the Philippines System Vice President for Academic Affairs Maria Cynthia Rose Bautista.
