The 򽴫ý (򽴫ý) will hold a webinar on November 27, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:30 AM via Zoom, featuring two 򽴫ý studies that shed light on the factors shaping the development and well-being of Filipino children.

The first study, “Early Harm, Lasting Impact: The Effect of Parental Violence on Educational Outcomes among Filipino Children,” by 򽴫ý Project Technical Specialist Aaron Carlos G. Manuel, Senior Research Specialist Lyle Daryll D. Casas, and Senior Research Fellow Dr. Valerie Gilbert T. Ulep, examines how early exposure to parental violence affects children’s school participation and academic performance.

The second study, “Sustain the Gains: An Assessment of Nurturing Care Outcomes in the Next 1,000 Days,” also by Casas and Ulep together with Technical Specialist Ma. Norma Thea Madeline M. Conjares and Senior Technical Specialist Danielle Lois Carreon, highlights the importance of sustaining early childhood gains during the ages of two to five.

These studies provide timely insights into how violence prevention, nurturing care, and sustained policy support can help Filipino children thrive. The webinar aims to contribute to ongoing conversations on safeguarding children’s rights and promoting their holistic growth in line with this year’s observance of National Children’s Month.
