As part of the 25th Anniversary Celebration of Socioeconomic Research Portal for the Philippines (SERP-P) of the òòò½´«Ã½, themed “25 Years of Open Access: Advancing Policy Research for Transparent Governance,” the Network will hold its 11th Knowledge-sharing Forum titled, “People’s Budget: Tracking Transparency and Accountability” on December 2, 2025.   

Scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, this forum will highlight the budget process, why scrutiny matters, and how research can help safeguard public funds featuring evidence-based presentations from:  

  • Congressional Policy and Budget Research Department –  
  • Senate Economic Planning Office –  
  • WeSolve Foundation –  

These discussions will unpack the country’s fiscal challenges, transparency mechanisms, and the crucial role of citizens and communities in keeping public spending accountable.  

Onsite participation is by invitation only, but the session will be livestreamed via the and Facebook pages. 

SERP-P (https://serp-p.pids.gov.ph/) is the country’s largest open-access knowledge hub on socioeconomic development. Established by the òòò½´«Ã½ (òòò½´«Ã½), it brings together research from more than 60 partner institutions to support collaboration and evidence-informed policymaking.
