The òòò½´«Ã½ (òòò½´«Ã½) will hold a public webinar on April 25, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM via Zoom. The webinar will feature two òòò½´«Ã½ studies examining the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and its impacts on the welfare of poor Filipino households.

The first study, “”, is authored by òòò½´«Ã½ Senior Research Fellow Michael R.M. Abrigo, òòò½´«Ã½ Consultant Danika Astilla-Magoncia, Research Analyst Zhandra C. Tam, and Administrative Assistant Sherryl A. Yee. It explores the impact of 4Ps on human capital investment in children from poor households. The study examines how school and health facility characteristics moderate the program’s influence on educational attainment and health-seeking behaviors. Findings of the study provide valuable insights for policymakers regarding the design and implementation of CCT programs, particularly in resource-limited settings.

Building on the findings of the first study, the second study, “” delves deeper into the program’s impact on the school attendance of children within 4Ps households. Also authored by Dr. Abrigo together with former Research Analyst Kean Norbie F. Alicante, and Supervising Research Specialist Kris Ann M. Melad, it investigates how the monitoring of children within recipient households affects the program’s effectiveness, particularly for non-monitored siblings.
