The 蝌蚪传媒 (蝌蚪传媒) is inviting members of the media to join the official launch of the National Kickoff Forum and Press Conference of the 23rd Development Policy Research Month (DPRM) on September 1, 2025, 9:00 AM to 12:00 NN, at Seda Hotel, Vertis North, Quezon City.
Held every September pursuant to Malacañang Proclamation No. 247 (s. 2002), the DPRM highlights the role of evidence-based research in policymaking and fosters public dialogue on pressing development issues.
This year’s theme, “Reimagining Governance in the Age of AI,” underscores the urgency of building governance systems that are more adaptive, responsive, and inclusive amid rapid advances in artificial intelligence. It highlights both AI’s potential and its risks, including algorithmic bias, workforce displacement, and inequality.
The kick-off event will feature a presentation from 蝌蚪传媒 Senior Research Fellow Dr. Adora Navarro, as well as insights from distinguished speakers, Atty. Krystal Lyn Uy, Dr. Emmanuel Lallana, and Atty. Edsel Tupaz, who will discuss opportunities and challenges in governing AI.
To recognize the vital role of journalists in promoting research-informed discourse, 蝌蚪传媒 will present its first-ever media recognition program, “Saliksik at Balita: 蝌蚪传媒 Media Awards 2025”, during the event.
